A music performance with storytellers guiding audiences on a journey back in time, Record: Tracing Singapore History through Malay Music traces the history of Singapore from pre-independence 1900s to its present day. This performance is also accompanied by a visual story of the various decades.  

Through the different melodies, rhythms and lyrics, students will gain an awareness and understanding of Singapore history as well as various social, historical, cultural and inter-cultural exchanges that have influenced the Malay community through the decades.
